The teenage years are challenging for teens, not to mention their parents. Today's youth face some common issues such as self-esteem and body image issues while also contending with some unique challenges such as bullying, both in school and online, issues of sex, academic stress and pressure from peers to try drugs and alcohol. In some cases, teens and parents need extra support and guidance in navigating these difficult times. We use a variety of approaches to assist your teen sort out the world around them so it makes more sense. Therapy can help
begin to process trauma so they can become stronger mentally.
It can also help them deal with underlying issues that may exist,
such as anxiety and depression. By meeting them where they are
and adapting treatment to meet their needs, adolescents gain
access to healthier coping behaviors your teen can use in real-life
situations now and in the future. They can build their self-esteem
so they are less influenced by others and can make better decisions
for themselves. We can help your teen understand that they already
have all the tools and skills to live a good life. All they need is a little
help learning to use the tools.
