Tracy Barney, LCSW-S
Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Work Supervisor (LCSW-S) with over 20 years of experience supporting children, teens, adults, and families. I work with clients ages 5 and up and offer both in-person and virtual sessions specializing in anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, parenting challenges, family stress, and life transitions, with a particular focus on women’s issues. My approach is trauma-informed, client-centered, and strengths-based, drawing from CBT, DBT, and mindfulness to meet your unique needs.
I believe therapy works best when you feel safe, supported, and truly understood. My role is to walk alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges, gently helping you build insight, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful change.
Clients often describe me as patient, kind, and empathetic, while also being honest and supportive in holding them accountable when needed. I focus on your strengths and encourage growth in ways that feel empowering and achievable.
I became a therapist because I’ve always been fascinated by resilience—why some people are able to cope well under stress while others struggle. My passion is helping people heal from past experiences and build resilience so they can move forward with greater confidence and peace.
If you’re ready to begin, I would be honored to walk with you on your journey toward greater balance, fulfillment, and emotional well-being.
